What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of related experience, Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of IT systems support OR High School equivalent and 5+ years of IT systems support experience, Experience troubleshooting servers (physical and virtual), Storage Area Networks (SAN), software applications, firmware, network security, Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SolarWinds, 8570 IAT-2 (i.e., CompTIA Security +) required cert, Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Project, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel), Current/active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, U. S. citizenship required
Nice to Have
Previous experience at USCENTCOM or the CENTCOM AOR a plus, ITIL Foundation certification preferred or experience with ServiceNow, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Exam
What You'll Do.
Monitor IT Infrastructure events
Manage IT service events
Provide 24x7x365 monitoring
Manage network status reporting
Serve as single point of contact
Gather information on network issues
Provide information on critical updates
Maintain detailed reports
Keep stakeholders informed
Operate server maintenance program
Provide systems administration
Provide operations and maintenance
Support USCENTCOM networks
Monitor servers (physical and virtual)
Monitor Storage Area Networks (SAN)
Monitor software applications
Monitor network security
Identify network and service outages
Escalate issues to agencies
Facilitate resolution of outages
Submit incident tickets
Manage incident tickets
Prepare email notifications
Deliver email notifications
Coordinate restoration of services
Lead restoration of services
Develop strategies for preventive maintenance
Develop changes to monitoring posture
Develop changes to event management response procedures
Monitor server-based change actions
Execute Standard Changes notification procedures
Execute Normal Changes notification procedures
Execute Emergency Changes notification procedures
Manage digital wall displays
Manage Data Center Expert for temperature monitoring
Perform troubleshooting
