**Position Summary:** **Job Description:** **Position:** Western Colorado University invites applications for a full-time position of IT Support Technician. The position reports to IT Services Manager. **Responsibilities:** The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing front-line technical support and user assistance for many of the systems and services for which IT Services is responsible. This support includes installation and/or configuration of computing hardware (computers, network switches, printers, etc.), software, A/V devices, network cabling, diagnostics, troubleshooting and end-user assistance. Also assist students with personal devices and accessing various IT systems. In addition to standard support duties, opportunities are available to be responsible for one or more specialty areas. **Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree, any. * One year of general IT experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field * Experience working in a higher education environment. **Compensation:** $21.63 to $24.03 per hour (the equivalent of $45,000 to $50,000 annually).
