What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), Proven experience in providing technical support in a fast-moving high-tech related environment for a minimum of 3 years, Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, servers, networking, and security, Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles, Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively and provide timely resolutions, Knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment, Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus, Prior experience in scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.)

Scope As the Austin-based IT Support Engineer at Ambiq, you will play an important role in providing technical support to the Austin office, including ensuring that hardware systems and applications run smoothly for all employees. This role will primarily work with Austin-based employees and executives, as part of a larger IT team, it will assist with broader IT coverage beyond Austin from time to time. The successful candidate will have exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and an employee-centric approach. Specific Responsibilities Provide hands-on technical support to end-users on-site, by resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
