What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Proven experience in IT Asset Management (managing day-to-day operations using a SAM tool/CMDB), understanding of software licensing models (e. g. , Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM) and compliance, Knowledge of contract, Knowledge of financial principles related to IT cost management, budgeting, and vendor contract management, analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights, Proficiency in data analysis tools (e. g. , Excel, Power BI or similar reporting tools), ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little, Excellent organizational, Excellent time management, Familiarity with ITIL practices, CMDB management, and asset lifecycle, Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without, communication, proficiency in English (spoken and written)
What You'll Do.
Perform daily and long-term operational and strategic management of software
and record software assets to make sure they comply with vendor contracts in the existing software
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management of software assets
including procurement
Ensure software license compliance with vendor agreements
and regulatory requirements through continuous monitoring and reconciliation
Maintain accurate records of software assets
and configurations within SAM tools and CMDB systems
Manage and validate software inventory and configuration items (CIs)
including relationships
Produce and distribute software compliance reports
including trend analysis and risk identification
Support software demand forecasting and budgeting
working closely with peers and analyzing spend data
Monitor and control software-related spend
ensuring alignment with budgets
and supporting financial planning through accurate licensing and usage data
Partner with Finance and Procurement to analyze software costs
and validate invoices
Define and maintain documentation of policies
and reports concerning IT assets and configuration
