This team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Abbott’s global IT physical infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant hosting environments. As the **IT Network Design Engineer (Physical Infrastructure)** , you’ll have the opportunity to provide technical leadership for infrastructure design and implementation projects across Abbott sites globally, including acquisition and divestiture activities, while delivering Level III support for hosting and infrastructure platforms. What You’ll Work On * Design and engineer IT physical infrastructure solutions, including **low‑voltage and fiber cabling, electrical systems, UPS, HVAC, security, and external infrastructure** supporting LAN, WAN, and Voice platforms * Support implementation and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure environments, including mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systems * Oversee and support on‑site infrastructure installations, including construction supervision and hardware implementation (e.g. Cat6A cabling, wireless access points) * Serve as a **technical subject matter expert** , providing consulting support to business stakeholders and end users * Produce and maintain engineering documentation, ensure compliance with Abbott, industry, FDA, and OSHA standards, and manage vendors, procurement, and project repor
