Landscape Management Degree, 3+ years’ experience in irrigation install/repair, Knowledge of campus and job, Pump station components knowledge, Marking underground utilities knowledge, Irrigation hydraulics & components knowledge, Irrigation scheduling/auditing knowledge, Blueprints/plans for takeoffs knowledge, IA Certified (CID, CIT, CIC, CLIA), HDPE Pipe Fusion certification, Leadership certification/training, Backflow certification, Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) certification, Hydropoint University/Weathertrak Optiflow Certification, Class CDL

We work to create an inspiring outdoor setting for all who visit BYU. With a standard of excellence supporting every endeavor, we accept Brigham Young’s challenge to “render the earth so pleasant that when you look upon your labors you may do so with pleasure, and that angels may delight to come and visit your beautiful locations.” The Irrigation Install Specialist designs, installs, maintains, repairs, and schedules all irrigation system and water features on BYU campus and the Missionary Training Center. He/she works directly with contractors and site inspectors through planning, execution, and project completion. He/she works with contractors and other shops to locate utilities on site as needed and to repair systems damaged during construction. He/she also has standby responsibilities for after-hours campus emergencies March through November; and participates in snow removal. Willing to train on the job, depending
