Job Summary The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity. Essential Job Responsibilities Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading and shake out of material. Install safety line and posts. Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe. Minimum Qualifications Required: GED or High School Diploma. TWIC Card and/or Real ID’s are required. Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds. Preferred: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts. Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
