What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Finance or other related field, financial and accounting familiarity with business financial policies in Dadaab, Prior experience dealing with customers/debt, Prior experience in a lending environment, Experience providing business advice to entrepreneurs, Prior experience in Investment management system software, Decisive individuals with ability to deliver unpleasant messages to the debtors and assertive enough to get the debtors pay off the entire debt, Experience in managing difficult clients and reaching positive outcomes, Very attention to details and good follow through, Comfort with the civil court system, Unrelenting perseverance, personal integrity, critical thinking skills, 2+ years of work experience in relevant or applicable field, Fluency and Excellent communicator to audiences in English, Must be able to work in Kenya legally and based in Dadaab
Nice to Have
Experience in Islamic lending and practice is an added advantage, Experience in investment management, microfinance, capital leases, and access to finance for Micro businesses and SMEs is STRONGLY preferred, previous experience in litigation preferred, Excellent communicator to audiences in Swahili, Excellent communicator to audiences in Somali
What You'll Do.
Support compilation of pipelines
Respond to inquiries from prospective
Introduce investment products to entrepreneurs
Conducts investment appraisal
Collects detailed information
Arranges to open new investment account
Provides necessary information for contracts
Follow up for disbursement
Maintain a healthy portfolio
Conduct due diligence on prospective borrowers
Communicate all materials to Portfolio Manager
Assist in preparing credit reports
Take photos of entrepreneurs
Ensure entrepreneurs' stories are posted
Offer excellent customer service
Work with the Business Development Services team
Visit clients for monitoring
Maintain delinquency and default rates
Track information about borrowers
Communicate effectively with stakeholders
Participate as key staff in Portfolio Review Meeting
Maintain a tracking system
Interact with government leaders
Ensure adherence to Kiva partnership requirements
Maintain and demonstrate proficiency with investment software
Participate in training of system providers
Ensure proper segregation of duties
Develop and maintain work flows
Advise Management team how to automate
Ensure lending team is provided with updates
Participates in review and recommendations
Interacts with lending staff to improve accuracy
Prepares related reports
Administers the system
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordination with Business Development Advisors and Business Associates; Communicate all materials to the Portfolio Manager; Assist in preparing credit reports for Investment Committee meetings; Work with the Inkomoko Kenya Business Development Services team; Communicate effectively with key stakeholders about client status; Actively participate as a key staff in the weekly Portfolio Review Meeting; Interact with government leaders, community leaders and others; Ensure the lending team is provided with updates; Successfully interacts with lending staff

Excellent communicator to audiences in English, Swahili, Somali highly desirable; Communicates effectively across diverse communication styles, cultures, and backgrounds
