Full Job Description

TWC's main office is located at 101 E.15th Street, Austin, TX, but this position is available for anyone in the State of Texas to apply. This position is in our FDCM/Program Investigations Department. TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHO YOU ARE: You are an experienced investigator with strong writing skills who is a self-directed and an intrinsically motivated adult learner. You communicate effectively and are capable of building relationships with our workforce boards and other divisions within TWC and the Office of Investigations. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Investigator III performs complex (journey-level) investigative work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Analyze issues/allegations to determine appropriate investigative approach. - Prepare investigation plans; define scope and objective of investigations. - Determine appropriate use of interviews and other investigative techniques. - Maintain investigative objectivity and impartiality. - Advise and/or provide technical assistance training to the boards - Coach board investigators on their investigations and recommend next steps and improvements. - Conduct thorough research and analyze information to draw evidence-based conclusions. - Analyze available data relating to issues/allegations; apply kno
