What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Financial Crime ideally gained through experience of SAR Transaction Monitoring in a Global Bank, Production and oversight Management Information (MI) and Governance & Control, and within Financial Intelligence or Compliance functions, Oversight of SAR Investigation processes, change activities, remediation activities, training and risk management, Proven track record of check and challenge in Financial Crime to reflect proactive risk management and attention to detail, Analyze and interpret MI and data to identify trends, develop actionable insights for risk owners and key stakeholders, and monitor the effectiveness of the control
Nice to Have
Financial Crime compliance and risk management, including knowledge of AML/KYC/CTF frameworks in UK/global regulatory environments, Deep technical expertise in issues impacting AML/KYC/CTF and SARs, including investigation, filing, and validation, Professional certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or any other relevant Diploma/Certification in Financial Crime/AML
What You'll Do.
Conduct investigations into various aspects of the bank’s operations and/or conduct of individuals to identify and address potential instances of non-compliance
or other unethical behaviour
Identification and evaluation of potential risks associated with non-compliance or unethical conduct and implement risk mitigation strategies
Leading the investigations into alleged violations of policies
Documentation of investigation processes and provision of recommendations for corrective actions and improvements based on investigation findings
Utilisation of advanced technology and data analytics tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations
Utilisation and assessment of relevant internal and external information and intelligence in furtherance of the investigation
Fulfilment of any necessary external legal and/or regulatory reporting obligations
