Full Job Description

**Life Unlimited.** At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. The Inventory Data Analyst will be the team’s primary expert in Power BI dashboard development, SQL-based data processing, and automated Inventory reporting in an environment with limited IT support. The individual will collaborate with Supply Chain & Field Inventory teams to ensure complete and accurate data flows from SAP and related systems. They will drive field inventory reconciliations and analytics, establish robust controls, and strengthen compliance with company policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX) through auditable, automated reporting. This position is a P2 level (for internal use only) **What will you be doing?** * Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards focused on Inventory and operational metrics (inventory performance & variances). * Write SQL queries and build data models (Power Query/DAX) to extract, transform, and load data from SAP & other sources into automated, governed datasets. * Perform field inventory reconciliations and variance analysis leveraging finance knowledge (expenses, accounts, debits/credits); investigate root causes and propose corrective actions. * Partner with Field Count and Logistics teams to ensure accurate data capture; document reconciling items; validate/route proposed adjustments for review and approval. * Build finance dashboards that enable management decision-making and clearly reflect P&L impact, material- and batch-level analytics, and trend insights. * Support post-count validation via dashboard-driven analytics and automated checks; confirm SAP adjustments align to approved proposals; summarize P&L impacts to management. * Identify and implement process automations using Power BI, SQL, and Excel scripting to improve efficiency, control, and auditability. * Contribute to ad-hoc analytics and digital reporting initiatives across Finance and Supply Chain. **What will you need to be Successful
