Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, Perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 400 pounds, Stand in a protective apron for up to 45-60 minutes, 10% Travel
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure (as per state regulations), Successfully complete BLS certification
Nice to Have
Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Interventional Radiology certificate, 1 year experience preferred for Candidates with ARRT
What You'll Do.
Assists physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures
Responsible for the operation and quality control of the radiological equipment
Assists with the inventory and supply management
Performs various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room
Reviews patient specific procedure orders
Sets up/ stocks the procedure room/procedure trays
Cleans procedure room post procedure
Explains procedure to the patient
Assists with preparing the patient for the surgical procedure
Performs patient transfers and transports patient
Inputs patient data into the C-Arm
Acts as scrub assistant
Administers fluoroscopy
Maintains a sterile technique
Complies with HIPPA policies
Draws up intravenous medication
Processes x-ray images
Archives to the image repository
Provides outstanding quality of patient care
Supports and driving the organization’s quality standards
Assists with implementing the organization’s quality goals
Ensures medical records are accurate
complete and in compliance
Maintains integrity of medical records
Assists with maintaining environmental integrity and aesthetics
Ensures all areas are clean
Ensures all facility equipment and instruments are in proper working condition
Makes recommendations regarding replacement of equipment and repairs
Assists with disposal of hazardous waste materials
and efficiently utilizes supplies and equipment
Attends and participates in Governing Body
Ensures effective communication with physicians
Attends and participates in CQI meetings
Works with the physicians and staff to ensure all necessary instruments and equipment are on hand
Ensures patient billing is accurate and timely
Assists with inventory
ordering of supplies and re-stocking of supplies
Acts as Radiation Safety monitors radiation badges
Conducts in-services regarding radiation safety
Participates in all facility regulatory and accreditation surveys
Other duties as assigned
