Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** ​​The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing specialized procedures using sterile techniques and specialized equipment.​ **What you will do ** * Schedules procedures and appropriate patient preparations, prepares, positions and instructs patients and adjusts equipment for procedures. * Familiar with a wide variety of diagnostic and intervention procedures and oversees/coordinates with nursing staff, scrub techs and other techs or students throughout exam. * Produces satisfactory images via digital imaging or hard film and presents them satisfactorily for radiologist interpretation. * Maintains, orders, and evaluates products used for procedures. * Demonstrates high level of patient care skills to assist nursing staff with caring for critically ill patients. * Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Radiology Department, Quality Department, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines and others as required. * Able to monitor all Hemodynamics during procedures. * Understands human vasculature including cerebral circulation and anticipates the needs of the Physician supplies, equipment and medications as needed while maintaining a sterile environment. * Possesses the ability to comprehend and interpret complex clinical subject matter related to the specialty. * Demonstrates the ability to analyze data and formulate an appropriate plan
