**Location:** Avera McKennan Hospital **Worker Type:** PRN **Work Shift:** As Needed (United States of America) **Pay Range:** _The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience._ $21.75 - $33.00 **Position Highlights** Monday - Friday 5:30am start and as late as 6:00pm, PRN as needed Every other weekend rotation 5-8 hour shifts depending on the assignment **You Belong at Avera** **Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Responsible for relaying accurate medical information and facilitating the successful delivery of patient services to diverse language segments in compliance with all office, clinic and hospital policies and procedures, particularly relating to patient confidentiality and informed consent. Responsible for written translations required in patient encounters including, but not limited to, forms, care instructions, medication schedules, patient letters, or other identified documents and patient materials. Work with special projects as assigned. **What you will do ** * Serves as the facilitator to successfully deliver language patient services to linguistically diverse consumers and functions as a cultural and linguistic resource to both patients and providers to contribute to successful outcomes. * Provides a high level of customer service with a positive approach and performs duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. * Familiarity and ability to work with diverse cultural/social-economic backgrounds as well as general knowledge of cultural backgrounds. * Provides written translations in patient encounters, including completion of forms, medical instructions, and medication schedules; administrative translations such as letters to patients and other materials. * Supports office operations by answering the phone, checking voice mails and following up as needed. * Taking and schedul
