Full Job Description

This internship is ideal for Bachelor's students (preferably in their 3rd year) and Master's students in: Mathematics Physics Computer Science Engineering (with a quantitative focus) Your Key Responsibilities Support the design, development, and implementation of algorithms and models Explore quantum and hybrid classical-quantum solution approaches Assist in prototyping, benchmarking, testing, and documentation of algorithms and software Present research findings, share insights, and actively contribute to technical team discussions What We're Looking For Bachelor's (3rd year preferred) or Master's student in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced research environment Excellent communication skills in English (German beneficial but not required) Solid programming proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages utilized in scientific computing Interns will be placed within the following areas according to their background: Operations Research Basic knowledge in combinatorial optimization Familiarity with unsupervised learning or clustering methods Experience with optimization libraries Computational finance Strong mathematical foundation Experience in computational finance Familiarity with Machine Learning / Deep Learning Quantum Machine Learning Experience in quantum programming languages Familiarity with variational quantum algorithms Basic knowledge in Pytorch and TensorFlow What We Offer 6-month paid internship programme Hands-on experience on real, impactful projects Mentorship from experienced engineers and professionals Opportunity to build industry-relevant skills Flexible working environment (hybrid/remote options but must be able to attend our Munich office a few times a week to ensure high-touch mentorship and team integration) Potential pathway to a full-time role after graduation The application closing date is June 21, 2026.
