What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or other related technical fields, plus 2 years of demonstrated experience in a pre- and post-sales technical support position OR minimum completion of secondary education (such as GCSEs or an equivalent national high school diploma or GED) with at least 6 years of demonstrated experience in a pre- and post-sales technical support position, Proficiency with radio frequency instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers, Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing) is required, Must be based in Australia, Willingness to travel to potential conflict areas in support of radios, Successful clearance of a background check
Nice to Have
Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems, Familiarity with Linux, Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking, Knowledge of wireless communication systems, RF signal propagation, and digital communication technologies, Exposure to and proficiency with programming languages such as C/C++, Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (reading and writing)
What You'll Do.
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support
Become an expert on radio and networking solutions
Prepare and conduct product demonstrations
Visit customer sites for technical support and training
Troubleshoot failures in the field
Collect and analyze field failures
Participate in resource allocation and hardware maintenance
Help design engineers reproduce and troubleshoot
Perform other related duties
