What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 8 years of relevant experience in assurance, risk or control roles, ideally in non-financial risk and regulatory areas, Professional qualification: CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIA/CISA, Worked in regulated environments, Fintech or Financial Services, Clear working knowledge of non-financial risks and regulatory processes and expected controls - such as Consumer Protection & Conduct, Outsourcing & Third Party Management, Risk Management, Governance, and Regulatory Reporting, Proven experience working in risk, control or assurance, Working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and requirements relevant to payments, fintech and/or broader financial services firms, Able to work independently, assume responsibility and make own judgement, Prepared to take ownership over complex new areas and solve problems with no or very limited guidance and know when to escalate and ask for support, Very coordination skills and able to hold teams accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering high quality outputs, Agile and adaptable to change, Demonstrate attention to details but can summarise key messages succinctly, verbally and in writing, adjusting style and level of information based on target audience, Curious - great at asking insightful questions to understand the real issues and deliver the right outcomes, Passionate about driving change, making improvements and helping stakeholders, Not afraid of making decisions, can work autonomously and take initiative, Relationship builder across all levels of the business and externally, Manage and influence stakeholders with ease, Collaborative - enjoy sharing knowledge and upskilling others

What You'll Do.
Overseeing the delivery of internal audits within the non-financial Risk & Regulatory portfolio
Performing audit plan development and risk assessment activities in the portfolio
and supervising the operational activities of the team
Development and delivery of audit engagements
Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework
Support development of the annual audit plan for the non-financial Risk & Regulatory domain
Deliver audits per the audit plan
Monitor the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations
Measure the effectiveness of improvements

A bit about the role We are looking for an Internal Audit Senior Manager for the non-financial Risk & Regulatory portfolio to join our fast growing IA team. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of internal audits within the non-financial Risk & Regulatory portfolio at Wise, and collaborating internally and externally with partnering firms. You will make recommendations to improve governance, risk management and internal controls. You will also play a vital role in performing audit plan development and risk assessment activities in the portfolio. You will be responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising the operational activities of the team as well as completing your own tasks. The role presents a great opportunity to focus on the development and delivery of audit engagements in a fast paced environment, focussed on data driven audit techniques and continuous monitoring. Relevant experience working in assurance, risk or control roles and deploying technology enabled assurance is key to driving the internal audit agenda. We are a 4 year old team that is still forming and storming (we have grown from 2 to 40 people in this time), therefore you have the unique opportunity to collaborate and shape the operations, methodology and approaches of the Internal Audit function.
