AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION: Yes RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE TYPE: AU- Secret (NV1) TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time ## **Description** Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA) is offering an exciting **Systems Engineering (Certification) Internship** within our Triton Program, as part of the 2026–2027 Summer Intern Program. In this role, you’ll work within our Certification Team, gaining exposure to a broad range of specialist engineering disciplines that underpin airworthiness, safety, and operational compliance. This is a unique opportunity to see how systems engineering and certification activities come together to support a complex Defence aviation capability. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers and will contribute to real engineering outputs that directly support fleet operations and serviceability. **What you’ll be doing** As a Systems Engineer (Certification) Intern, you will: * Support the development of certification artefacts, such as design classifications, specifications, engineering and technical reports * Assist with test plans, test reports, and engineering documentation under supervision from senior engineers * Contribute to incorporating engineering changes into the system, including reviewing and consuming international technical and design data * Support the capture and management of system and functional requirements within a requirements management tool * Help develop work instructions and templates to ensure compliance with certification responsibilities and accountabilities * Work alongside engineers across systems, safety, structural integrity, test and evaluation, and certification disciplines This 12 week internship is designed to help you learn, grow, and gain confidence in a real Defence engineering environment. **This role is based at our Edinburgh base in Adelaide, South Australia.** **Eligibility requirements:** We’re looking for motivated students with an interest in systems
