Full Job Description
TxDOT's Refugio Maintenance Office is excited to announce internship positions available for the Summer 2026 for future Maintenance Technicians! Each year, more than 500 college students from across Texas and even beyond choose the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) as their employer of choice for summer work. For many, it’s a milestone they’ve been striving toward, and an achievement they’re proud to claim. In fact, several members of our Executive Leadership Team began their careers as TxDOT summer interns. A paid summer internship offers a valuable chance to explore how TxDOT serves the people of Texas, apply and expand what you’ve learned in the classroom, and potentially open the door to future career opportunities with the agency. It’s no wonder so many students return year after year to rejoin the TxDOT team. At the TxDOT Refugio Maintenance Office, you’ll join a team fueled by passion and purpose. Jump in, gain real‑world experience, and kick‑start your future. Choose TxDOT and ignite your brighter tomorrow today. Transcripts must be provided before hire will be completed 18.00 18.00
