Full Job Description

TxDOT's El Paso District is looking for a roadway Maintenance Intern for the Marfa/Fort Davis Maintenance Office. This position is for an internship during the summer months with the potential for year-round part-time employment. Duties for this position will definitely include working outdoors, and learning about roadway maintenance processes, materials, and safe practices; and may also include assisting with road repairs and sign repair/replacement, flagging traffic in work zones, tree trimming, litter pick-up, yard maintenance and much more. The work schedule will still allow plenty of time for summer fun on the weekends: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. This internship will provide current high school and college students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while earning a competitive salary.
