Full Job Description
As an Intern – Field Services Coordinator at Canam, your mandate will be to assist the Field Operations Manager with the management and supervision of a structural steel erection project. You will be based out of the Mississauga office in Ontario and will be required to travel to the assigned project site as and when required. Standard working schedule is onsite Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Start times may vary depending on site schedule and needs. In this role, you must be willing to work overtime if required to support the job site, teams and schedule. Duties: * Collect data on site and update the construction schedule (MS Project, Smartsheet, Google Workspace) * Produce erection progress and site daily reports (Projectsite/AutoDesk, Trimble Connect) * Assist the Site Superintendent with quality control * Follow up on the delivery schedule and validate delivery slips * Participate to coordination meetings with the engineering, detailing and fabrication team * Attend on-site coordination meetings with the General Contractor * Assist the steel erector in repair request (field works and deficiencies) * Assist with health and safety recordings * Scheduling the project life cycle using MS Project software or Smartsheet * Other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor Project site locations: * Kingston, ON | Start date: early July | Duration: 4-6 months * Sudbury, ON | Start date: Early July | Duration: 6 months * Ottawa, ON | Start date: Mid July | Duration: 6-8 months Please submit with your application the location of the position you are applying for. * Salary transparency: $25.00 per hour * Disclosure of vacancy: positions posted for active vacancy ## Qualifications * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management * Working knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Office 365, Project and other software; computer experience with AutoCAD preferred * Autonomy and ability to manage priorities * Willingness to progress, lea
