This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on real Defence aviation programs, contributing to work that underpins airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance across NGA platforms. You’ll be part of a project focused on improving how complex certification and technical baseline documentation is identified, structured, and accessed - work that directly supports safe and timely aircraft upgrades and approvals. **What you’ll be doing** As a Certification Intern, you will: * Support initiatives within the Office of Airworthiness aimed at improving efficiency and reducing certification risk * Help identify and define the technical baseline documentation for Defence platforms, including aircraft and land-based systems * Contribute to building a searchable utility that enables faster access to certification and type data from multiple sources * Assist with work directly benefiting the C‑27J program, supporting future upgrades, in‑service hazard assessments, and certification planning * Gain exposure to airworthiness, certification, and Defence regulatory environments This 12 week internship is designed to help you learn, grow, and gain confidence in a real Defence engineering environment. **This role is based at our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane, Queensland.** **Eligibility requirements:** We’re looking for motivated engineering students who are curious, detail‑oriented, and interested in Defence aviation and certification.
