In this role, you’ll be embedded within our ASI‑PSI Engineering team, primarily supporting the KC‑30A sustainment program. This internship offers rare exposure to a highly specialised engineering discipline that plays a critical role in ensuring aircraft safety, airworthiness, and long‑term sustainment within Defence programs. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across structural integrity, propulsion systems integrity, condition monitoring, and data analytics, while working alongside experienced engineers on real engineering challenges. **What you’ll be doing** As an ASI/PSI Engineering Intern, you will: * Develop a practical understanding of Aircraft Structural Integrity and Propulsion Systems Integrity * Support the KC‑30A sustainment program, learning how engineering, maintenance, and operational teams work together * Assist in the development of data analytics tools to support the maturation of condition monitoring systems * Apply your university studies to real engineering and sustainment problems * Attend maintenance sites to see how engineering analysis directly supports aircraft sustainment and safety * Present your work and key learnings at the conclusion of your internship This 12 week internship is designed to help you learn, grow, and gain confidence in a real Defence engineering environment. **This role is based at our Springfield office in Brisbane, Queensland.** **Eligibility requirements:** We’re seeking motivated engineering students with a strong technical foundation and an interest in Defence aviation.
