What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University, minimum 8 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings, Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada, experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations
Nice to Have
Master’s degree and above, registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, 3 to 5 years of site or field experience in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings, Knowledge of modification process of Nuclear Power ECC process or similar, Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures, knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations
What You'll Do.
Perform structural analysis
seismic qualification and assessment
and ageing management.
Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel
reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages.
Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs using ANSYS
SSASI and other structural programs.
Ensure Compliance with applicable Codes
Standards and Regulations
and ensuring the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans.
Accountable for the delivery of all engineering deliverables/task to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
Provide technical instructions to Junior staff or designers to develop engineering documentation.
Review and comment on the work performed by others to ensure accuracy
completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation.
Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question.
Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.

### **Job Description** ## **Overview** AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups.
