Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale capital projects, Experience presenting financial information to Boards of Directors, Proven ability to manage external auditors, accounting firms, lenders, donors, and other key stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience within nonprofit organizations strongly preferred, construction accounting or real estate development finances preferred, understanding of project budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow management, and contract financial administration preferred, Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills preferred
What You'll Do.
Oversee construction-related financial activities
Monitor construction expenditures against approved budgets
Provide monthly variance analyses
Maintain cost-to-completion forecasts
Identify potential budget overruns or financial risks
Track reimbursement obligations
Track cost-sharing arrangements
Provide financial insights and recommendations
Develop and maintain vendor payment schedules
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of contractual financial
Maintain and update a rolling 12-month cash flow
Coordinate capital funding activities
Manage banking relationships
Monitor organizational liquidity
Identify and proactively communicate potential cash flow risks
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages
Report on cash position
Report on project burn rate
Report on construction spending
Report on budget variances
Report on financial forecasts
Manage the organization's operating budget
Coordinate monthly close activities
Serve as the primary liaison for annual audits
Serve as the primary liaison for tax filings
Serve as the primary liaison for financial compliance
