What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience with research, analysis, and analytic tools, Experience with Intelligence Community databases and correctly sourcing products according to DoD standards, Experience with Security Classification Guides and Declassification Guides for national security procedures and properly releasing information, Knowledge of the process of downgrading information to the lowest possible level, Knowledge of Original Classification Authorities, Declassification Authorities, and equities pertaining to each, Knowledge of DoD Manuals and guidelines of protecting national security information according to E. O. 13526, Knowledge of the DoD, wider IC, and Combatant Command environments, TS/SCI clearance, HS diploma or GED
Nice to Have
6+ years of experience as a declassification representative, Experience with data analytics, data analysis, and data visualization, Experience as a Foreign Disclosure Officer, Knowledge of the intelligence cycle, Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including briefing
What You'll Do.

help your client understand the releasability of analytical production
explore new data sources
build effective queries
and combine information from disparate sources
serve as the focal point and principal liaison for the organization’s planning
and execution of declassification programs
and standardized declassification work process
and quality assurance measures
develop solutions to declassification challenges posed by electronic records
and emerging technologies
integrating existing agency databases and best practices to streamline and support declassification activities
coordinate the exchange of information and efficient processes among external agencies of detailed declassification guidance to support recognition
craft better work processes for the Freedom of Information Act or Mandatory Declassification Reviews for classified federal records to provide for more timely responses to public requests
balancing the need for governmental transparency with the reality that many historical records contain information that must remain protected to safeguard classified national security information
