Full Job Description
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. INTEGRATION ENGINEER (STARSHIP) As an Integration Engineer you will be responsible for establishing requirements and developing tooling and processes to enable at-rate production of the most powerful rocket ever made. Your role will focus on integration of avionics, propulsion, and structural assemblies, and you will work with both design engineering and technician teams daily. You will be well-positioned to influence overall vehicle architecture, with a focus on design for reliability and manufacturability. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate as a systems level engineer to collect production requirements then plan and execute the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to those requirements Design and implement tooling solutions to eliminate assembly error, improve quality, and accelerate build Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on a large scale production line Prove that a subsystem work center meets cycle time requirements, or own the design change required to meet target cycle time Become a subject matter expert for the build of a vehicle level system like aero control surfaces, propellant feed systems, actuation systems, thermal protection systems, secondary structures, avionics, primary structure, etc. Generate and maintain design for manufacturing requirements for the processes used to build Starships and Super Heavy Boosters BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and previous internships qualify) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in an engineering discipline 1+ year of system level acceptance test exposure 2+ years of professional experience in the field of aerospace/mechan
