Full Job Description
The Integration Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and assuring the integration architecture across enterprise systems, applications, and data platforms. The role ensures that integrations are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards, business strategy, and regulatory requirements. This role acts as the design authority for integrations, bridging business requirements and technical implementation, and providing architectural leadership across programmes and delivery teams. Integration Architecture & Design * Define and own the enterprise integration architecture working with the Senior Integration Architect, including patterns, principles, and reference architectures (e.g. API‑led, event‑driven, batch, point‑to‑point avoidance). * Design end‑to‑end integration solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and SaaS platforms. * Select appropriate integration styles and technologies based on functional and non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resilience). * Produce architectural artefacts including integration diagrams, data flows, interface contracts, and sequence diagrams. Governance & Standards * Establish and enforce integration standards, design patterns, naming conventions, and best practices. * Be part of the Design Authority for integrations, reviewing and approving solution designs. * Ensure integrations comply with security, data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, cross‑border data transfer constraints). * Guard against unnecessary point‑to‑point integrations and technical debt. Delivery & Assurance * Support delivery teams during build and deployment, providing architectural guidance and resolving design issues. * Collaborate with developers, platform teams, and vendors to ensure architectural intent is implemented correctly. * Identify integration risks and dependencies early and propose mitigation strategies. * Support testing strategies covering integration,
