What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience, Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years experience, PhD in Engineering, eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, USA Citizenship
Nice to Have
Design Engineer experience of complex systems and subsystems, Experience in integration/system engineering, Project/Function Management Engineering Experience, Experience leading or managing a team for execution of a program or in support of a functional skillset, Familiarity with external customer interface, delivery and testing experience at a system level
What You'll Do.
Provide leadership to the US Naval Design Engineering team
Assign Design resources to support definition
Plan and deliver technical design solutions
Oversee and manage a team of Naval US Design Engineers
Deputize for the Chief Design Engineer
Ensure the design solutions meet requirements
agree and integrate the plan for the IPT
Define the necessary resources required
Ensure project risks are identified
Ensure IPT work is integrated with higher-level plans
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
work effectively in a team; coordinate with program managers and capability managers
Communication Scope
Excellent command of the English language for both written and oral communications
Process & Methodology
Project Planning, Risk Management, Project Management Plan, Risk Management Plan
