Eligibility Requirements

Onsite work is performed in an office setting, 35 hours per week, 1-2 Days onsite per Week on average plus additional days for ad-hoc required meetings, Worksite locations include all Cambridge, Alston, Boston (Longwood Medical area), as well as partner locations, 90-day orientation and review period, Must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts

Must Have

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience

Nice to Have

Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)

What You'll Do.

Loss mitigation related to risk exposures

Procurement and administration of the university’s casualty insurance and self-insured programs

Assessment and addressing of risk through contract and policy reviews

on-site meetings and assessments

interviews and research

Partnership with claims manager and Office of General Counsel on claims and coverage issues

Recommendation of solutions for addressing business risk

Aggregation of data and synthesis of key themes for reporting

Management of external service partners

Evaluation of risk financing solutions and framework

Maintenance of fluency in the insurance market and emerging risk issues

Maintenance of fluency in legal

regulatory and governance environments

Reporting to leadership on policy renewal strategies

design specifications

and implementation timelines

Analysis of exposure data and historical loss information

Guidance to internal clients on insurance inquiries

Contribution to department’s annual budget projections and interim financial reports

Participation in claims management

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Regularly interact with internal clients and partners; Partners with the claims manager and Office of General Counsel; Consultation with experts, research and analysis; Reporting to the team and the director; In consultation with the team and the Director, provide timely and practical guidance to internal clients; Participate in claims management with internal and external partners
