What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Two years of college (48 units), AA degree or higher
Nice to Have
Six months experience with adolescents/children, Experience in a structured environment
What You'll Do.
Provide support for students
Enable access to curriculum
Enable access to academic instruction
Support special education students
Support students in self-contained classroom
Provide one-to-one support
Serve in in-school suspension room
Support students needing behavioral reset
Discuss classroom learning activities with teacher
Coordinate instructional efforts
Implement instructional programs
Provide assistance to students via IEP
Provide assistance to students via 504
Provide assistance to students via behavior plan
Provide assistance to students via wrap-around team
Review behavioral plans
Document progress or deficits
Support students by attending classes
Provide toiletry support
Implement accommodations
Implement behavioral interventions
Operate office machines
Operate instructional equipment
Perform classroom clerical work
Prepare teaching aids
Prepare teaching materials
Support students in completing assignments
Engage in socio-emotional conversations
Restore the environment
Call parents to arrange appointments
