### **Job Description** ## Overview The Inspector – Telecom & IT is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring the quality and compliance of telecommunications and IT systems deployed in transportation projects. This includes systems such as fiber optics, CCTV, passenger information systems, and network infrastructure across rail, metro, or bus networks. ## Your role **Inspection & Quality Assurance** * Conduct on-site inspection of Telecom & IT systems installations (fiber optic cables, networking equipment, telecom rooms, etc.). * Ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project standards. * Monitor contractor activities and verify adherence to safety and quality standards. **Telecom & IT Systems Oversight** * Inspect systems including: * Structured cabling systems. * Fiber optic networks. * CCTV and surveillance systems. * Passenger Information Systems (PIS). * Public Address (PA) systems. * Access control and security systems. * Verify testing, commissioning, and integration of systems. **Documentation & Reporting** * Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and daily activity logs. * Review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals. * Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and findings. **Testing & Commissioning Support** * Witness and validate testing & commissioning activities for telecom and IT systems. * Ensure proper documentation of test results and system performance. **Coordination** * Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve issues. * Support project engineers in tracking progress and closing inspection comments. * Liaise with other disciplines (electrical, civil, systems) for integrated works. ## About you **Education** * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field. **Experience** * Minimum 3+ years of experience in Telecom & IT inspection, preferably in transport
