What They're Looking For.
Must Have
College and/or University degree, 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales/contractor experience, Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, Outstanding customer service and telephone skills, Ability to prospect new customers and increase sales with existing accounts, High level of attention to detail and organizational, Ability to multitask and balance many different deadlines, Written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates, Ability to identify customer requirements and provide profitable solutions and close the sale, Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders, Intermediate math skills
Nice to Have
Previous experience with or knowledge of construction or fire protection at the Profit Centre, Experience using Trend and Eclipse
What You'll Do.
Interact with customers over phone and email
Provide excellent customer service
Generate and close sales
Meet gross profit targets
Build loyal customer relationships
Turn quotations into orders
Assist in warehouse picking orders
Maintain relationships with key accounts
Strengthen relationships with existing customers
Increase market share
Act as project manager for large projects
Keep detailed records of lead times
Communicate lead time updates
Prospect and develop new customers
Conduct outbound calling campaigns
Meet profit centre sales targets
Assist counter sales during peak hours
Drive business through face-to-face interactions
Investigate and resolve customer issues
Expedite customer material with vendors
Follow up with customers on quotes
Follow up with customers on outstanding orders
Support Outside Sales and Counter Teams
Support all Profit Centre activities
Communicate customer business changes
Perform other tasks as requested
