What They're Looking For.
Must Have
College and/or University degree, 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales/contractor experience, Proficient in Microsoft Office software, Ability to identify customer requirements and provide profitable solutions and close the sale, Able to learn and operate applicable software system, Intermediate math skills, Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and gross profit goals, Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Previous experience with plumbing and building products, Experience using Trend, Experience using Eclipse, Experience with CRM software systems
What You'll Do.
Interact with customers over phone and email
Provide excellent customer service
Meet gross profit targets
Exceed gross profit targets
Build loyal customer relationships
Turn quotations into orders
Maintain relationships with key accounts
Ensure customer requests are met
Strengthen relationships with existing customers
Increase market share
Act as project manager for large projects
Keep detailed records of lead times
Communicate lead time updates to customer
Prospect and develop new customers
Use outbound calling campaigns
Assist counter sales during peak hours
Drive business through face-to-face interactions
Investigate customer issues
Resolve customer issues
Expedite customer material with vendors
Follow up with customers on quotes
Follow up with customers on outstanding orders
Support Outside Sales and Counter Teams
Maintain accurate customer records
Maintain up-to-date account information
Monitor sales pipeline
Support Profit Centre goals
Support all Profit Centre activities
Communicate customer business changes
Communicate potential credit risk
Perform other tasks as requested
