Must Have
Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program, Met Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration, PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician, 2 years recent relevant experience, Knowledge of medical terminology, Knowledge of generic and trade pharmaceutical names, Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, Knowledge of laws and regulations, Knowledge and understanding of different Pharmacy practice settings, Knowledge of controlled substances delivery and procedures, Ability to identify and employ pharmaceutical and medical terms, abbreviations and symbols, Basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards, Written and verbal communications skills, Well-developed time management and organizational skills, Ability to prioritize assignments, Ability to work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods, General knowledge of computer applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), Ability to perform basic pharmacy buyer duties

We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** MMC-Memorial Medical Center **Position Overview:** Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution that ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Prepares, compounds, packages, labels, and dispenses medication, nutritional products, and IV admixture and solutions. Adheres to all standards, procedures, cleaning protocols, and infection control polices to maintain a safe and sterile medication area, clean rooms, and laminar flow hoods. Assists with medicine and supplies inventory management and control, including maintaining adequate stock levels, checking accuracy of pricing, and completing required regulatory documentation. Performs advanced level technician work. Exercises sound judgment and has developed clinical skills to provide pharmaceutical support to the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety.
