What You'll Achieve.
accelerate the county’s work around generative AI; driving transformative change across county operations; promote responsible and ethical use of generative AI research; identify, and lead pilot support policy; assemble stakeholders around the county for generative AI pilots and projects; keep individuals around the county engaged in the work of the emerging tech team; lead impactful projects alongside the Emerging Tech team that leverage the potential of AI; ensuring that Jefferson County remains a leader in public sector innovation; enhance county operations and service delivery; ensure responsible and ethical use of generative AI tools; providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement; make a difference in the community through meaningful projects

Must Have
Bachelor's degree in a related field, Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
Nice to Have
Experience keeping multiple teams engaged in collaborative projects, or in engaging multiple teams and getting buy-in on new projects, Experience working with agentic AI, Experience leading emerging technology pilots or projects, Experience analyzing business needs, programs, and policies, and creating recommendations for improvement, Able to work independently and collaboratively in a complex organization, Experience delivering presentations, training, or workshops
What You'll Do.
Engage external teams on collaborative projects involving implementation of AI tools
and implementation of generative AI technologies that can enhance county operations and service delivery
Guide strategy and support departmental implementation of AI tools
and improve current policy
and best practice recommendations to ensure responsible and ethical use of generative AI tools
Monitor and evaluate the impact of generative AI initiatives
providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement
Critically assess which AI solutions best fit county needs
with an emphasis on off-the-shelf solutions rather than custom development
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Engage external teams on collaborative projects; Assemble stakeholders around the county for generative AI pilots and projects; Work with other fellows through a variety of projects, networking, and social events; Collaborate with the Emerging Tech team on impactful projects; Work independently and collaboratively in a complex organization
Communication Scope
Demonstrated communication skills across diverse teams, especially when involving technical information to non-technical audiences; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Facilitating events and presentations
