What They're Looking For.
Must Have
French language proficiency, 3 to 5 years of experience in utilities engineering in a manufacturing environment, Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), Experience in supervising utility systems and facility management, Strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance, Good command of standards and regulations (CSA, ULC, CCQ, CSQ, NFPA 70, OSHA), Knowledge of RBQ requirements and relevant chapters of the Quebec Building Code, Technical leadership, Ability to positively influence decisions through sound professional judgment, Bilingualism (French/English), Must be bilingual in French and English (written/spoken)

What You'll Do.
Design and develop utility systems
Create detailed engineering plans
Perform calculations and simulations
Supervise operation and maintenance
Implement preventive maintenance programs
Resolve utility system issues
Manage utility infrastructure projects
Coordinate with stakeholders
Ensure project completion on time and budget
Ensure utility system compliance with regulations
Prepare and submit required reports
Update systems based on regulatory changes
Monitor utility usage to save energy
Implement energy-efficient technologies
Track energy efficiency performance indicators
Implement safety protocols for utility systems
Conduct regular safety inspections
Train personnel on safety and emergency procedures
Provide technical support to facility management
Recommend technical improvements
Stay informed of new technologies and best practices
