Responsibilities Ownership over our data center infrastructure, tasked with all aspects of keeping it up and operating in an optimal and reliable manner Contacting third-party vendors about remote equipment installation and maintenance and then supervising those projects through completion Performing hardware installation and troubleshooting existing hardware Documenting both new and established procedures to establish and foster best practices firmwide Cooperating with other engineers to provide stable and secure deployments of new infrastructure components Working with network engineers to reliably upgrade and replace old network equipment Developing an automated provisioning system and keeping the inventory system up to date Troubleshooting software issues that might be related to hardware failures Providing in-office hardware support Working as part of an in-office team to collaborate directly with our experienced traders and technologists on brainstorming and implementing creative solutions to a wide range of problems Requirements BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience 2+ years of experience in related field
