What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid Ontario or Inter-Provincial Electrician Certificate of Qualification (442A/Red Seal) required, 3–5 years as a licensed industrial electrician, understanding of industrial electronics and process controls, Proficient in reading and troubleshooting from electrical diagrams, Skilled in using diagnostic tools, Hands-on experience with control panels, relays, contactors, and safety systems, Familiarity with PLCs, Working knowledge of VFDs, Experience with fieldbus systems, Basic networking knowledge, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, Mechanical aptitude and interest are essential, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance, Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented industrial setting, Adaptable to changing priorities, able to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
Completion of an Electrician Apprenticeship is preferred, experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, Visual Basic), Familiarity with AutoCAD for updating electrical drawings, Comfortable working with ASi-Safe and Profisafe systems is an asset
