## Description Electrical Test & Controls Technician Location: Henrico, VA Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starting at $60,000+ (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Test & Controls Technician to support system validation, troubleshooting, and diagnostics in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical systems and controls who enjoys solving technical challenges and working closely with both production and engineering teams. ## Primary Responsibilities Perform electrical and functional testing on systems, assemblies, and components Configure power, control, and communication connections required for testing operations Utilize diagnostic instruments to capture, analyze, and document electrical performance data Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control systems, relays, and electronic components Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation Maintain, inspect, and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability Support production schedules by managing priorities and completing testing activities on time Assist with RF shielding evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair support Work with three-phase electrical systems, motors, generators, relays, and industrial controls Support PLC troubleshooting activities and assist with basic programming modifications Diagnose issues involving VFDs, automated machinery, and control systems ## Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working with electrical, electronic, or industrial control systems Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience using testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and analyzers Strong troubleshooting ability with excellent attention to detail Effective communication, organization, and technical documentation skills Ability to work independently and take initiative
