Full Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: - - Support Design Across Product Categories: Contribute to the design of wearables, bands, accessories, charging systems, and packaging, ensuring alignment with WHOOP’s product and brand standards. - Execute Concept Through Production: Assist in developing products from early ideation through prototyping, refinement, and production, maintaining design intent throughout the process. - User-Centered Design Execution: Apply insights related to wearability, ergonomics, and user behavior to inform design decisions that improve comfort, durability, and performance. - Prototyping & Iteration: Create sketches, CAD models, and prototypes to explore and validate design concepts, fit, and usability. - Material & CMF Exploration: Support material selection, color, finish, and manufacturing approaches that align with performance, durability, and brand expression. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, hardware, apparel, and product marketing teams to support the development of cohesive product experiences. QUALIFICATIONS: - - 3–5 years of industrial design experience, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or softgoods. - Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design process, form development, and execution across physical products. - Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar). - Experience with prototyping methods and an understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints. - Familiarity with materials, CMF, and designing for products worn on the body. - Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present ideas and design rationale. - Ability to manage multiple projects and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
