What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Data Engineering, or similarly hands-on technical customer-facing role, SQL — comfortable writing non-trivial queries against Snowflake, Postgres, or similar warehouses, Experience with ETL/ELT and data transformation tooling such as dbt, Airbyte, Comfort with APIs and integrations — REST, auth flows, pagination, rate limits, and debugging flaky endpoints, customer communication — able to explain technical decisions to non-technical operators
Nice to Have
Familiarity with (or interest in) construction supply ERPs such as BisTrack, DMSi Agility, or ECI Spruce, Some travel might be required for on-site implementations to the US, Excited to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a startup/greenfield environment

IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER Location: Hybrid (Onsite in Toronto, ON) ABOUT SALESJACK SalesJack is a fast-growing, profitable sales software platform (CRM, Prospecting Service) tailored for independent businesses in the construction supply industry. Our team and customers are spread across the US and Canada. Our mission: build tools that solve real problems for our customers and transform industry workflows. YOUR ROLE As an Implementation Engineer at SalesJack, you'll own the technical side of bringing new customers live and keeping them successful. Every implementation involves ERP integration, product category mapping, permit source configuration, data migration, and on-site training — and you'll be the person who makes all of that happen. Post-launch, you'll handle customizations: new reports, routing rules, data transformations, and one-off integrations. You'll work closely with founders, engineers, and the dealers using our product every day. We highly value a startup mentality — taking initiative, moving quickly, and iterating solutions based on real customer feedback. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead ERP integrations for new customers across BisTrack, DMSi Agility, ECI Spruce, and similar systems — using whichever method fits (REST API, VPN with direct SQL access, or scheduled file extracts) - Map product categories from each customer's ERP to power cross-sell logic, account health scoring, and reporting - Configure permit data sources and routing rules for each customer's territory, including fuzzy matching against their existing customer base - Build custom reports, workflows, and data transformations in our data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Postgres) when standard configuration doesn't cover the need - Feed patterns from the field back to Engineering to shape the core product - Contribute to architectural decisions, onboarding playbooks, and team culture as an early hire WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Data Engineering,
