expected to serve in person at their school site, except on days when there are in-person meetings or trainings, work a 40-hour work week, standard work hours falling between 7am- 5pm, Monday – Friday, depending on the needs of the program, City Year does not sponsor work authorization visas

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in education, Social Work, Urban Studies, Youth Work, or other related field, Experience with and the ability to work with principals, assistant principals, and teachers to meet shared goals which includes having difficult conversations around partnership accountability, Demonstrated ability to work with and lead diverse teams of young adults which includes experience coaching young people and working with diverse populations to achieve goals, Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening skills, problem solving, time and project management ability to prioritize projects and tasks, assess and deploy resources, Willingness to take on new challenges, pursue self-development and self-directed learning, Ability to work as an independent leader and as a team member in a collaborative environment, Proficiency in computer skills (i. e. MS Office) and experience using databases to document service work

Proven relationships and experience working with/in Boston Public Schools or as a contracted provider with Boston Public Schools is a plus, City Year/AmeriCorps/Peace Corps experience is a plus

What You'll Do.

Lead the execution of City Year’s Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) Tier 1 supports and Tier 2 interventions

Oversee whole school and class service implementation

including instructional support

and culture enhancement

measurable objectives aligned with WSWC goals and capture best practices for community sharing

Utilize data analysis from various sources to identify trends

improve interventions

and enhance ACM performance

Supervise and support ACMS in executing coordinator roles and fulfilling service responsibilities

and coach up to two teams of AmeriCorps members to achieve service performance requirements

meet AmeriCorps practitioner standards

and support members through their individual equity journeys

Lead with a sense of City Year culture and values

consistently using City Year culture make meaning of City Year culture and foster personal connections to the deeper meaning of our work in schools

Guide ACMs to meet service performance requirements and maximize leadership development potential

The IM is also an effective talent developer who will support AmeriCorps members through a challenging and rewarding year of service. **Job Description** Position Overview City Year Greater Boston (CYGB) seeks Impact Manager candidates who will manage and mentor up to two teams of full-time AmeriCorps members, overseeing the implementation of our service model in the partner schools we serve in Boston and Medford Public Schools. Impact Managers are responsible for three main areas: program implementation, corps member program delivery and experience, and service partner management. The Impact Manager must be effective in relationship development and team management, coaching AmeriCorps members (ACMs) per team to deliver attendance, behavior, and course performance supports to students, as well as enabling a rewarding, productive, professional and successful year of service. In this way, the Impact Manager is responsible for managing the daily programmatic operations of their team and leading them to ensure that all goals and service outcomes are met.
