Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree equivalent education as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations: 42CFR493. 1405(b)(5)(i)(B)., American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified or eligible for certification as a Technologist by an approved agency – MLS(ASCP), MB(ASCP), or CG(ASCP), required., Certification exam must be passed within 3 years of hire date., Completes minimum of 12 hours Continuing Education annually.

**Overview:** **Job Description Summary:** Performs routine and complex laboratory analyses, quality control, operational improvement, and preventative maintenance within the Institute for Genomic Medicine. **Job Description:** **Essential Functions:** * Performs routine and complex technical laboratory procedures and follows proper equipment use, maintenance, and documentation. * Drafts patient reports by interpreting assay results and records laboratory processes and data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. * Performs Quality Control testing of newly received reagents, chemicals, and kits used for patient testing. Completes all quality training and participates in quality assurance programs. * Reviews the status of clinical and research cases with appropriate leaders.
