****Job Description:**** # ****Ice Protection Methods and Tools Designer – Airbus Commercial Engineering Center**** **As part of Airbus’s ambition to grow a proficient and competitive Engineering organisation, we are launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Centre in Poland. This initiative aims to leverage Poland’s talent pool and technological ecosystem, while supporting our broader Engineering workload and competitiveness requirements, and reinforcing Airbus’ strategic engagement with Poland.** ## ****Role Overview**** **Join the “System Integration” department responsible for the seamless integration of Propulsion System into Airbus aircraft.** **Within the department, Wing and Nacelle Ice Protection Systems (IPS) are key to ensure aircraft safety and performance.** **You will act as Ice Protection Methods and Tools Designer, in charge of Wing and Nacelle Ice Protection Systems, Methods and Tools for Airbus commercial aircraft.** **Developing and maintaining existing in-service systems require a deep understanding of the system performance and the associated ice physics and associated thermal behaviour of the aircraft element to be protected. This implies complex analysis and the use of adapted performance tools.** **In addition, developing the Icing Protection System for future aircraft will be a real challenge as many novelties are expected to be introduced: certification rules evolution, new technologies, new system architecture, new aircraft elements to be protected. These will significantly impact both the methods used to develop the Icing Protection System as well as the associated tools.** **This is where we need you, to help define, design and validate the next generation of aircraft.** ****Your challenges**** * **You will be involved in Ice Protection System design activities to support aircraft programmes evolutions and participate in future technologies maturation.** * **Identify, perform or support the team in the projects aiming at improving our
