Ensure that all engineering work complies with the regulatory and jurisdictional requirements, codes and standards, safety, design requirements and specifications and any other applicable requirements.; Verify that the system field configuration accurately represents the updated design documents configuration.; Continuously improve the work process and retain knowledge.; Ensure the integrity and reliability of safety systems.

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) or eligible for PEO status (or equivalent), Comprehensive understanding of power plant thermal cycle control technology and operations, Expertise in design engineering, Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of digital control systems design for power plant thermal cycle (including turbine and generator control) in a nuclear power plant environment, Minimum of 5 years of experience working on CANDU Nuclear Power Plant projects, In-depth knowledge of relevant CSA and IEC or IEEE standards, CSA N290. 7, CSA N290. 14, IEC 61508, IEC 61513, IEC 61511, IEC 61882, EN 61000, IEEE 1012, Excellent problem-solving skills, Experience in leading technical projects, Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, High commitment to quality, Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team situation, Attention to detail, Quality assurance requirements
Nice to Have
Direct involvement in a CANDU Refurbishment Project/Organization, Experience with quality management systems, CSA N286, CSA N299, CANAC NMC, ISO 9001, Experience with advanced digital safety technologies and methodologies, Experience with General Electric (Mark VI) or Alstom (Alspa) platforms and respective engineering processes, Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure, Experience in project management, Romanian Language proficiency

Provide technical expertise in I&C and control systems design
Ensure engineering work complies with requirements
Conduct field inspections
Raise quality observation requests
Propose engineering tools and software
Prepare lessons learned and feedback processes
Raise corrective action process
Participate in analyses and discussions with contractors
review or assist in analyses of digital control
Prepare data for recommendations
Participate in engineering team meetings
Carry out or assist with special studies or analyses
Participate in preparation of specifications
Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art engineering
Lead team in preparation of drawings
Provide input to work schedules
Author official documents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Stay updated with advancements in digital safety technologies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship

Participate in analyses and discussions with contractors and customers; Participate in engineering team meetings; Participate in interface meetings with CNE and/or EPC contractors; Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, safety analysts, and regulatory bodies; Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
