What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2 years of relevant experience, Basic understanding of hydrovac operations, Basic understanding of general job site safety practices, Situational awareness, Ability to work safely around underground utilities, Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, Willingness to work in confined spaces, Willingness to perform duties in various weather conditions, Willingness to work extended hours, Willingness to work evenings, Willingness to work weekends, Willingness to work on-call shifts
Nice to Have
Preferably in a hydrovac or construction-related role
What You'll Do.
Support Hydrovac Operator in performing excavations
Handle hoses and hydrovac equipment
Assist with debris disposal
Assist with backfilling
Follow directions promptly during excavation
Follow company safety procedures
Follow Alberta OH&S regulations
Complete required safety training
Complete site-specific orientations
Identify and report hazards
Report unsafe conditions
Assist in daily inspection of tools
Assist in daily inspection of hoses
Assist in daily inspection of hydrovac units
Support regular housekeeping of equipment
Support regular housekeeping of vehicles
Contribute to respectful work environment
Contribute to team-oriented work environment
Support other tasks as assigned
Remain adaptable to changing work environments
Remain adaptable to changing weather
Remain adaptable to changing project demands
Assist in recording site activities
Assist in completing basic field paperwork
Help ensure daily reports are completed accurately
Help ensure safety logs are completed accurately
Help ensure client forms are completed accurately
