What You'll Do.
Preparing various foods for the Hy-Chi department
Preparing food in hot and cold cases
Ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous
and efficient customer service
Preparing vegetables and ready sauces
Combining all the ingredients with the meat
Placing food in hot cases
Monitoring amounts and refilling hot cases as necessary
Ordering product and supplies or notifying department head of needs
Cleaning work area at the end of the shift
Filling the cold case with fresh-made food
Preparing items for the next day
Maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
Adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines
Reporting to work when scheduled and on time
Taking customer orders at the Hy-Chi department counter
Assisting in other areas of store as needed

You will be responsible for food in hot and cold cases. Additionally you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. **_Core Competencies_** * Partnerships * Growth mindset * Results oriented * Customer focused * Professionalism ** _Reporting Relations:_** Accountable and Reports to: District Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home; Food Service Director; Hy-Chi Department Manager; Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager; Service Managers Positions that Report to you: None ** _Primary Duties and Responsibilities_** : * Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. * Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store. * Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible. * Assists customers by: escorting them to the products for which they’re looking, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience * Answers the telephone promptly when called
