What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Member of United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO, Twelve (12) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in the HVAC industry and Industrial Petro-Chemical, or Data Center vertical environments, Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and/or ammonia / hydrocarbon system components, Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification, Able to install complete systems, (Chillers, Rooftop Units, plumbing and all supporting mechanical systems), Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, laser etc. of pumps, fans, Compressors, Able to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot drivelines, Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies, Universal EPA refrigerants license, Applicable state or local licensing, Valid driver's license

Mechanics must have practical working experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems. Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
