It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. **Description of Work** The primary purpose of the Plant Maintenance Section is to ensure the successful operation of the physical plant and facility infrastructure. This position maintains and services all HVAC systems for Murdoch Center in addition to a satellite facility used for cold storage, the Oxford and Wright Path group homes, and the old ADATC facility consisting of seven buildings. This position repairs and provides preventive maintenance for all Murdoch Center’s heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration. New equipment is installed as required. On occasion, this position will assist with maintenance repairs and other types of work for other State agencies.
